European Initiative (EI) exists to ignite a spiritual awakening in Europe through evangelism, teaching, prayer, compassion ministry, and Jewish ministry. Founded in 2007 by Jeff and Barb Serio, EI has spent the last 11 years "airlifting" spiritual food and water to the nations of Europe. The first was established in Berlin, Germany in 2007. The second was established in 2018 in Budapest, Hungary. Our USA base of operations is located in Dallas, Texas.EI's strategy involves mobilizing thousands of Christians to share the Gospel with lost Europeans in various cities throughout Europe, utilizing a variety of creative outreach methods. EI partners with local churches and ministries to maximize long term effectiveness and encourage active evangelistic participation by local believers. This strategy allows European Initiative to go beyond the reach of its staff, bringing the gospel to tens of thousands of lost Europeans each year. By God's grace, we estimate that 1,450 lost Europeans came to faith in Jesus Christ throughout 2018 under EI ministry outreaches.
