Gaithersburg club of Rotary International, a large and wonderful service organization with more than 1.2 million members in some 33,000 clubs, worldwide. The Gaithersburg Club meets for lunch on Tuesdays to meet and greet, have fun, and plan local and international service activities as well as fundraisers and occasional service events. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary's main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.
