VCMC is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 whose purpose is to provide members with safe, quality motorsport venues in which drivers can practice, and develop their driving skills for safer daily street driving and entry into the grassroots motorsport of autocross.Autocross is a cheap, practical way to get into the world of motorsports. Members (mostly) use their own daily street driven vehicles. The course is laid out with traffic cones and times are recorded using an automated timing system. Risk of vehicle damage is negligible as cars are released onto the course one car at a time with a significant safety margin in between. Each driver completes one 'lap' of the course and parks their car.Competition is categorized by vehicle modification level handicaps making the focus on driver skill rather than vehicle performance.This is the safest, cheapest way to get into car racing and it will help your street driving as well, come out and join us!
