Live Ocean is a marine conservation charity founded by sailors Peter Burling and Blair Tuke to amplify and accelerate positive ocean action in Aotearoa New Zealand. As sailors and all-round ocean lovers, they're bringing their ambition and competitive spirit to step up to the challenge to protect and restore our oceans. To have a healthy future, we must have a healthy ocean. We need to foster an ocean with clear, clean water, abundant fish populations and thriving marine ecosystems. Where we prioritise the importance of the ocean in a healthy future and invest in knowledge that supports this ambition. Where we understand that by restoring and protecting our ocean, we all benefit. We work by supporting scientists, iwi, environmental and other groups with aligned values and vision. We act as a committed and tenacious collaborator to fund, support and amplify the messages of world-class New Zealand ocean scientists and champions. We are supported by very generous core donors who cover all our operating costs so 100% of your fundraising efforts will go to our partners' ocean restoration and protection projects.
