Chem-E-Car is a non-profit engineering student design team based at the University of British Columbia. As a design team, we are dedicating our time to develop more efficient, creative and innovative designs for our project, the Chem-E-Car. Our team is student based, and gives UBC students new opportunities to get involved in projects, and expand their learning beyond lectures. We are one of very few design teams targeting the interest of Chemical and Biological Engineering Students. The signature event that we take part in every year is the AIChE Chem-E-Car Competition®where we compete with other North American teams. Every year, we are tasked with designing a shoebox-sized vehicle to travel certain distances autonomously without using pre-made products, meaning no store-bought batteries, timers or physical counters. Our goal is to compete at the regional competition, then move forward to the AIChE national competition. Your generous support allows us to compete in competitions like this, and helps develop UBC students' education outside of the classroom. Your sponsorship will also allow us to gain hands-on experience, problem-solving skills, leadership positions and professional opportunities that can assist our students after they graduate. We highly value sponsorships, and we thank you in advance for investing in the UBC community, and our students' future.
