OBIA is a charitable not-for-profit organization founded in 1986 by families who were committed to supporting and improving the quality of life for those impacted by an acquired brain injury (ABI). Today, our organization is recognized as a leader in enhancing the lives of Ontarians living with ABI, and is dedicated to supporting survivors of brain injury, caregivers and professionals through education, awareness and support. Through our personal advocacy services for survivors of brain injury, our staff works closely with various health organizations and professionals in the field, including healthcare centres, rehabilitation companies and law firms, to ensure the best quality of care and outcomes. OBIA provides ongoing support and information to survivors, and training and education for their family caregivers and healthcare professionals throughout Ontario.
