The Welding and Non-destructive applied research center (TWN) was established in 2014 at the University of Tehran with the aim of establishing a specialized knowledge base applied research center for organizing the industrial research activities in the field of welding and non-destructive evaluations. Due to the expertise and experience of this team, the focus of this center is to provide industrial researches, consulting and laboratory services in the field of welding engineering and non-destructive evaluations as well as design and manufacturing the advanced laboratory equipments.One of the most important industrial and laboratory activities of this center is the following:• Analysis and measurement of residual stresses using hole strain strain gauge method• Simulation and optimization of welding processes• Vibratory stress relief• Strain measurement using 2D and 3D digital image correlation• Nondestructive evaluation using infrared thermography
