Varphi Studio was founded in 2014 in Alexandria, Egypt by a group of people who are interested in art and cinema in general with different experiences in the field of filmmaking, and currently based in Germany.It all started with a writing workshop to produce the first season of the mini online drama series "Plan B".After that, there has been a number of productions of short movies in association with Mimet Studios, Wekalet Behna, and Bibliotheca Alexandrina.We are currently working on a number of projects that are related to all kinds of visual arts especially in the field of filmmaking whether short or feature documentary or narrative movies.We are aiming to broaden our limits to work in different countries with different nationalities specially in Europe and Middle-East countries.Varphi Studio's name is inspired from the lowercase letter of the 21st letter of the Greek alphabet (Phi), which is used as a symbol for the golden ratio and on other occasions in art, math, and science.
