Impact Investors Council (IIC) is the non-profit industry association of Impact Investors in India. Impact Investors are financial investors who invest in social enterprises to deliver social (and environmental) impact to the poor in sectors such as Agriculture, Financial Inclusion, Affordable Education & Healthcare, Water & Sanitation, Clean Energy, Livelihoods to name a few. Impact Investors use the power of both financial markets and social entrepreneurship to deliver such impact. Our mission is to encourage private capital to bridge the social investment gap in India while developing an impact investment asset class. We have active support from prominent Impact Investors and IIC members have cumulatively invested US$2.5 billion in more than 350 social enterprises to date.
