The Zawadi Africa Education Fund is a program designed to provide scholarships to academically gifted girls from disadvantaged backgrounds in Africa to pursue higher education in Africa and the U.S. Zawadi Africa was founded in 2002, and enrolled its first students in Fall 2003. The program was launched in Ghana in 2009 by the founder of the organisation - Dr. Susan Mboya-Kidero. There are 15 Ghanaian beneficiaries at the moment.
