The International Design Association (IDA) was established in 1982 as a consortium of Engineering Consulting firms in Egypt, and The UK. Egypt Branch.Since its establishment in 1982, NOOR Consultants have been actively involved in the design, project management, construction supervision, and Real Estate Property Administration (Assessment and Appraisal) of a variety of projects including Banks, Educational Institutes, Commercial Buildings, Office Buildings, Industrial Projects and Warehouses, Hotels & Resorts, Recreational Projects, Mosques, Residential Buildings and Villas. NOOR Consultants is registered among the Engineering Consulting firms for the EU countries, with specialization in architectural and structural design, and urban planning in developing countries. With its current international branches and access to a pool of professional experts and university professors.NOOR consultants has established its own (BIM) Building Information Modelling unit based on the IFC (Industry Foundation Classes ISO/PAS 16739:2005) using the (STEP) Standard of Exchange of Product Data – ISO 10303 standard to utilize and implement the most recent cutting edge ICT/BIM technologies to support information sharing amnong all the AEC-FM (Architectural, Engineering and Construction – Facility Management) to ensure interoperability for interdisciplinary design management, client requirements management, workflow approvals, clash detection (3D digital mock-ups), accurate cost estimation, structural analysis, quantities take off, generation of tender documents including accurate and consistent bills of quantities, nD (4D and 5D) simulations for construction (time) schedules and impacts on costs.Major experiences are drawn through working together with major construction companies in Europe in the filed of Building Information Modelling (e.g. NNC-Sweden, Bouygues-France, Max Boegl-Germany, YIT-Finland and Hochtief in Germany) in the InPro project.
