Established by a group of eminent community leaders in 2006, Human Welfare Foundation (HWF) has become one of India's leading nongovernmental organizations dedicated to carrying out humanitarian and development programs to fight poverty and people's sufferings by working in partnership with vulnerable communities regardless of faith, caste, gender or political beliefs. HWF's flagship project "VISION 2026" is an ambitious plan to bring about transformation on the social landscape of the country. The plan envisages the establishment of multifarious institutions across the country, with a strong human resource of committed volunteers and recognized community leaders. The program intervenes the needs of the day when one-thirds of country's population hardly met the basic amenities for its servility.
