Our strategic focus is developing a collaborative and innovative tourism industry that delivers a world-class visitor experience, resulting in increased visitation, visitor nights and spend, dispersal and return visitation. This supports a sustainable and profitable tourism industry that achieves visitor expenditure of more than $190m annually and delivers ongoing employment growth.The Adelaide Hills tourism region is defined by the South Australian Tourism Commission as the geographical area covering the local government areas of Adelaide Hills Council and the Mount Barker District Council. Adelaide Hills Tourism receives primary funding from both councils with further funding and support from the South Australian Tourism Commission.Adelaide Hills Tourism is an independent Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) constituted as an Incorporated Association. The Adelaide Hills Tourism Board meets monthly and comprises tourism industry representatives as well as representatives from the two councils and other related industry sectors.
