Director's Profile: I commenced my working life as a station hand on WA pastoral stations in the north-west of that state; I later qualified as a wool classer and subsequently became partner in Synnot and Dunbar, which was a substantial shearing contracting company whose area of operations focussed on the Pilbara region of WA. I worked in the pastoral industry for 12 years and routinely interacted with pastoralists, the substantial shearing workforce & aboriginal stockmen. I entered the oil industry on Barrow Island WA in 1978.I formed Qantoco in 2006, primarily as an entity to provide services to the Australasian oil & gas industry after serving 36 years in the industry in Western Australia, South Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland. During that period, I worked for West Australian Petroleum, Halliburton, Santos, Innamincka Petroleum and Acer Energy, the latter being taken over by Drillsearch Energy. I was also pipeline superintendent in Qld where I dealt with pastoralists, farmers, shire councils and suburban developers whose projects impinged on the oil pipeline easements. The foregoing summary briefly outlines my work history; I have accumulated substantial hands-on experience in both primary industry as well as the oil and gas industry; that experience can be utilized by entities from either industry who may require an independent perspective whereby I could act as an intermediary or as a facilitator in situations where resolution of land-sharing has reached a stalemate due to conflicting points of view and the possibility of misinformation clouding the rights of the entities in dispute.
