Klingberg Family Centers is a private, non-profit agency providing a comprehensive range of services to thousands of persons across Connecticut each year. Our goal is to extend hope and healing to children and families whose lives have been impacted by trauma in its various forms; such as family conflict; social, economic, and life challenges; and mental health issues. Through an array of programs, including group care, special education, foster care, and community programs, children and parents are given the encouragement and skills they need to function more effectively at home, in school, and in their communities. In addition, we provide professional training and child sex abuse primary prevention nationally. In 2023, we served more than 2,200 primary clients. In most cases, we don’t just serve our primary client; we also provide critical services to their parents, guardians or caregivers, siblings, and to other members of their immediate family. Approximately 5,000 people are served by Klingberg Family Centers annually. In 2023, our programs served children and families from 118 towns across the state.
