Garfish are mid-market fish restaurants set in a casual but professional atmosphere. Our focus is on providing a seafood dining experience using the freshest produce available. Our restaurants have been consistently recognised by our customers and the hospitality industry, including Manly Garfish as Best Seafood Restaurant (informal) 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013. North Shore Business Awards Best Restaurant Crows Nest 2005, 2007 and Kirribilli 2014. The Garfish brand was established in late 2002 in a small 50 seat restaurant located in the heart of Kirribilli. Two more Garfish restaurants were opened in 2004 at Crows Nest (85 seats), and in Manly on the Harbour front (140 seats). The three Garfish restaurants continue to trade strongly and are recognised as being reputable operations that have put in place proper business practices. These practices range from proper education, training and development of staff to diligent finnancial controls which are a pre-requisite in the restaurant industry. We have many employees who have progressed from waitstaff to managers and apprentice chefs to sous chefs. Not many restaurant businesses can survive fiscally into a second decade but the Garfish model has put in place many business tools that has ensured its ongoing success.
