Founded in 2015, Manchester Global Foundation (MGF) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered in England and Wales. MGF's vision is to address global health inequalities and reducing health inequities, and contribute to their improvement. Our mission is to mobilise resources, expertise and capacity globally, to provide short and long-term technical assistance and advisory services in global health, humanitarian and development programmes and projects to ultimately improve the health and wellbeing of communities around the world. Our strategic aim is to strengthen the capacities of health institutions in low and middle-income countries through a wide range of activities, including local community self-management and using innovative public health initiatives. We believe that sound interventions at local level by allowing people to take actions to improve their own health will eventually contribute to broader improvements in global health: Local Impact, Global Change. Through our business arm, we provide consultancy and advisory services to a wide range of clients. Part of the profits raised through the business arm, in addition to private donations, will fund charitable activities aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable communities living in low and middle-income countries.
