The Latrobe Valley Authority was established in November 2016 to coordinate Victorian Government action in the Latrobe Valley as it transitions to a diversified economy. We are based in Latrobe Valley, staffed by local people.We are driving positive change by working collaboratively with local community and industry, focusing on shaping the future the way local people aspire it to grow.We are doing this by: • supporting employees, contractors, supply chain employees and family members affected by the closure of Hazelwood Power Station to connect to the services they need so they can re-train, find a new job, start a business, and manage their finances and personal health. • supporting businesses by cutting red tape, and providing incentives to expand and establish in the Latrobe Valley through the Economic Growth Zone.• supporting communities by delivering programs to ensure the Latrobe Valley is a strong and vibrant community and well prepared for the future.
