The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is a vibrant department comprised of 58 faculty, 39 residents, and 8 fellows. Our mission is to provide excellent patient care across all aspects of orthopedics and rehabilitation, delivered in a patient-centered, timely, and collegial manner utilizing innovative technology while promoting and advancing socially responsible medical education and research.Our orthopedic program is consistently ranked #1 in Wisconsin and in the Top 50 in the United States by U.S. News & World Report based on measures that include patient volume and outcomes, patient safety, nurse-to-patient ratio, and our reputation among other orthopedic specialists.
