CIS Consulting Group (formerly Construction Information Systems) was a leading reseller of Sage Timberline Office, Sage MasterBuilder, and starting in 2009, Viewpoint Construction Software. Based in Charlotte, the company's territory grew through mergers and acquisitions to encompass many states in the mid-Atlantic and the West. They also offered IT systems sales and support, development services and mobile solutions such as Field2Base. CIS was highly regarded for its turnkey implementation and conversion expertise. In December, 2010 CIS sold its Timberline customer base; one of the acquiriers was Aktion Associates, www.aktion.com. A number of principals, salespersons, and consultants went on to work for Viewpoint Construction Software, www.viewpointcs.com.
