Navachetana Microfinance Services Private Limited (NMSPL) is a non-banking finance company that extends micro-loans to poor women who are excluded from mainstream banking services. NMSPL loans enhance not only the livelihoods of borrowers, but also the lives of their family members. NMSPL is a financially sustainable enterprise that currently operates Fourteen branches throughout Haveri, Dharwad, Shimoga,Gadag and Davangere districts. NMSPL loans are distributed to individuals on a group-guaranteed basis. Each of these Joint-Liability Groups (JLGs) is composed of five women, and group members ensure that all individual loans are repaid in weekly installments.
