The establishment of CET Bhubaneswar in 1981 manifests the vision of sustainable generation of quality technical education resources in tandem with dynamic global scenario. Initially under OUAT (Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar), CET became a constituent part of BPUT (Biju Pattnaik University of Technology) with effect from 9th July 2002. In recognition for its excellent academic culture, distinguished alumni base and quality training and research, it has been receiving grants from the World Bank through MHRD, Govt. of India under TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Program). The college has been rated A grade by NAAC in the year 2017 and four branches of the college namely Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering received NBA accreditation in the year 2016. The college also features chapters of national and international societies such as ASME, EWB, SAE to name a few. The college offers under-graduate and post-graduate programs in engineering and science.
