The resulting initiative – a ‘Community to Community Direct Trade' enterprise, supplying ‘single origin', unblended products, will address the needs of a displaced and deprived community, will empower, raise self-esteem, increase a sense of belonging, foster integration and most importantly, will create jobs and opportunities for people.222Indeed, the Oromo Coffee Company has already received endorsements one of which is from Harriet Lamb, Executive Director of the Fair Trade Foundation, and which reads: "The Oromo Coffee Company brings a great new concept to the world of Fairtrade and we are proud to be working with them. The coffee is great tasting, originating from the birthplace of coffee itself in Ethiopia and the mission of the company is taking Fairtrade to the next level. Fairtrade seeks to link citizens across the world, putting people at the heart of trade and Oromo is an exciting innovative way of putting those principles into action. The Fairtrade Foundation looks forward to supporting the Oromo Coffee Company in the future."
