F&D Furnaces, LLC Acquires Flinn & Dreffein Engineering Company - December 15, 2009 - Italy's Olivotto-Ferre and FCE, LLC of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., announced the formation of F&D Furnaces LLC, which acquired the assets of Flinn & Dreffein Engineering Company. F&D Furnaces will focus on traditional Flinn & Dreffein furnace systems, such as tube-and-pipe quench and temper, car bottom, rotary hearth, normalizing and aluminum, in addition to other custom-engineered furnace equipment. All key Flinn & Dreffein technical staff will continue to work from F&D Furnaces' Northbrook, Ill., office. FCE also acquired the intellectual property of Drever Company in 2004. F&D Furnaces provides a wide range of technical services, including engineering and feasibility studies, equipment modernizations, new furnace installations, advanced process-control solutions and associated material-handling equipment. Olivotto Ferre, manufactures a broad range of energy-efficient furnaces for the metals and glass industries. FCE specializes in continuous strip annealing (carbon steel, stainless steel, and nonferrous), strip galvanizing and plate heat treating.
