Sleepy Street goods is a woman owned, small business that started in the New Mexico desert in 2017 and now operates from Portland, ORThe range of goods Sleepy Street has to offer has grown to feature not only soy candles, but also room sprays, incense, and greeting cards featuring original art.This little shop is currently operated solely by myself (Sara Street) and I strive to be as eco friendly as possible and provide my customers with the best possible products that I can. That being said, Sleepy Street candles are made from 100% organic and American grown soy beans (now soy wax). I use phthalate and sulphate free essential and fragrance oils in candles, room sprays, and incense. Sleepy Street strives to reduce the amount of plastic it uses, which is why I use glass bottles and jars for my products. I use 100% recycled paper towels to clean up my mess. And I reuse any bottles or jars that customers give back to me to create new candles or to store things in. I also encourage my customers to find new and creative ways to reuse their jars as well.The hope for the future is to be able to open up my own brick and mortar where I can host candle making classes, a place where people can watch the magic of candle-making happen, and a space for community to utilize! A safe space for everyone.
