AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) members bring passion and perseverance where the need is greatest: to organizations that help eradicate poverty. AmeriCorps VISTA members serve as a catalyst for change, living and working alongside community members to meet our nation's most pressing challenges and advance local solutions. The South Cumberland Plateau VISTA Project is a collaboration between AmeriCorps VISTA, The South Cumberland Community Fund, and The University of the South (Sewanee). Each of our positions offers the unique opportunity to work in a rural, historically, and economically depressed region of Tennessee. Our positions serve a variety of community organizations with grant writing and fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and developing and implementing systems that build an organization's capacity to operate more effectively.
