What we do*Clubs*We provide support to local communities in the towns and villages of Berkshire to set up youth clubs. Support includes training: First Aid, managing risk, sport and art programmes, safeguarding, mental health and how to engage young people at risk. In addition we provide advice on best practice and ideas for weekly events and activities. Our flagship clubs in Bracknell and Slough help over 500 young people every week, many of whom are disadvantaged. Our clubs provide a safe friendly place to develop, with access to activities including sport, music, drama, film production and lots more.We look forward to opening the Waterside Centre, our newest flagship club, in Newbury in 2021.*Specialist youth street workers*Our specialist Berkshire Youth workers interact and build relationships with young people where they ‘hang out'; shopping precincts and parks late at night and encourage the young person from the streets into local youth activities. They receive one-to-one mentoring and support from trained community volunteer mentors for up to 12 months. Our specialist youth street workers focus on hard to reach young people at risk of exploitation and crime. We now work with over 20 schools across Berkshire providing preventative education for young people, helping with early identification of those at risk of gangs, drug and knife crime. *Projects*Our projects provide young people with the chance to improve their health, become active and make a positive contribution through leadership in their community.
