Icecream Architecture is a design and strategy based company with a grounding in architectural planning. The company was imagined as an approachable face to the architectural profession that offered a platform for clients and community groups to develop their projects into realised spaces, structures and buildings. The founding aim was to involve clients in every aspect of the design process and to ensure that the architect acted as a facilitator for the needs of the project's end user. Over the years, icecream has developed into a design and community consultant that can deliver projects from their evolution right through to final completion. We look to exceed the design benefits that architecture provides, by simultaneously incorporating strategies and relationships that will complement our proposals and the needs of our client throughout, and beyond the process. The promotion of our clients' requirements and aims are the key goal for our methodologies. We entice the community and the stakeholders to take ownership and make gains from their input. It is the hope that the project does not only benefit from design input, but also identifies key future connections within the community and a sustainable longevity for the long-term. There is an emphasis on locality and the urban or rural environment of interest to each project. Our design strategies are based on context and need; the context of the projects heritage and environment and the needs of the continued end user.
