At the LavaLamp Foundation we continue the work that Tyler Hallahan started, helping those suffering from opioid addiction feel less alone and more informed.While the opioid epidemic is raging, addiction is highly stigmatized. This has created a culture of taboo and shame when talking to information related to addiction. We will break this taboo and disseminate factual, necessary information around addiction, treatment and what we can do to help those around us.Addiction is also isolating, confusing and often shameful. Through first hand stories we lift the veil of shame and isolation to reveal the person beyond the addiction. Showing those fighting that they aren't alone. They matter, they are loved and they are so much more than their addiction. These stories also aid people with a loved one going through addiction to understand more about their struggles and how to offer support.With true stories and destigmatized information we are working to make the light at the end of the tunnel brighter.
