Have you ever planned a trip to a new place and spent hours researching travel websites, wishing you could afford a travel agent or find a local guide to plan everything for you? That was me trying to plan my husbands birthday trip to Northwest Arkansas last year. We love to eat local, shop local, stay in Airbnb's or locally owned boutique hotels and we're avid hikers and waterfall chasers... Arkansas is our playground! The problem was, I was spending a huge amount of time trying to find those places only the locals know about...if I'm going to travel somewhere, I want to go where the locals hang out! I stumbled upon some pretty amazing places and we documented our trip for friends to follow our fun on Instagram...and that's when the messages started to roll in. People wanted to know where we found all these amazing, under the radar places! An idea for an Arkansas travel blog was hatched and after spending a few months just day-dreaming about it, we decided to jump in with both feet!!We look forward to sharing the adventures of "The Arkies" and we hope we encourage you to venture out and explore The Natural State! ***We are also open to working with Arkansas based, Arkansas-owned companies...if your company is looking to broaden its reach in The Natural State, reach out and let's discuss partnering!
