10750NAT - CERTIFICATE III IN MARINE HABITAT CONSERVATION AND RESTORATIONThe Certificate III in Marine Habitat Conservation and Restoration is to support the Marine Habitat Conservation and Restoration workforce development alongside a Social-Educational VET Reform. The proposed qualification is designed to address AQF level 3, Certificate III. The courses consist of small, clear, practical units providing skills and knowledge around ecosystem restoration and designed for people that might not graduate school, that have the desire to learn both underwater working skills and wish to take leadership in community professional marine restoration jobs, empowering local communities to take the marine and environmental initiative in their own hands. Creating jobs, reducing restoration coast.Along the Australian coast wide range of hands-on marine development, construction, conservation and restoration projects take place:shore protection and wave breakers • artificial reefs • conservation based diving activities • seagrass and mangroves restoration • fauna and coastal environmental, etc. This qualification, supports on the job training and provides practical marine habitat conservation and restoration training, supporting marine communities develop local trained workforce, with focus on adult international, domestic and Australian indigenous students cohorts that may not be able to obtain an academic degree and enter the marine biology industry based on this accreditation and practical work experience. This course is aimed at people who work under the guidance of a supervisor.This qualification does not qualify its graduate to perform underwater diving. Graduates of this course will be engaged in the monitoring of marine environments, in activities with the public relating to marine restoration, and in conservation and restoration operations.
