Congressional Cemetery is one of a handful of key community organizations that have been instrumental in the rebirth of Capitol Hill. Its outstanding commitment to historic preservation standards, heritage interpretation, landscape conservation, and community involvement make the Association, as well as the cemetery itself, a national treasure deserving of all the support we can muster. The Association has made great strides in recent years to restore Congressional to sound physical and financial standing. The rejuvenated board, along with hundreds of volunteers, has built up a solid endowment fund, established regular adequate grounds maintenance, embarked on numerous restoration projects, and developed a first class web site of historic and genealogical information.
