From its beginnings in 1967 operating a single home furnishings store, The Wellsville Group (Wellsville Carpet Town, Inc., WCT) has grown to become one of the nation's Top 100 Furniture Retailers in the U.S., according to the leading furniture retail trade magazine, Furniture Today. In addition to its 16 HomeStores, the company also operates a Carpet Town Carpet One store. The privately-owned company is headquartered in Westons Mills, NY and employs more than 500 across the Tri-state area. All Ashley HomeStores are independently owned and operated by a network of individual retailers, each licensed to operate in key market areas. The Wellsville Group opened the first Ashley HomeStore in New York State in 2001 in Horseheads.
