Kryptos is a non-profit association which aims to promote and facilitate the use of cryptographic currencies in everyday life. It is a project of the Hamburg Hub of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Initiative and closely affiliated with the Grameen Creative Lab founded by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus and the Sandbox Network. Kryptos works at the intersection of progressive organisations in society and the cryptocurrency community to advance the public understanding and use of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin and to increase awareness of the opportunities associated with the underlying technologies. This includes promoting public awareness, acceptance and understanding of cryptographic currencies and the creation of a public forum for discussion. Kryptos provides such a forum and thereby hopes to facilitate a society-wide discourse on the opportunities and risks associated with cryptocurrencies and their technologies.
