In order to speed up the activities in Uttar Pradesh Defense Corridor "Uttar Pradesh Defence Expo-2018 (UPDEX-18)" will be organized by Indian Industries Association (IIA) and UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) with the support of Government of Uttar Pradesh from 16th Nov to 18th Nov 2018 at Chander Shekhar Azad University Campus, Kanpur. Theme of the Expo will be "U.P The Emerging Defence Manufacturing Hub in India".About 100 stalls will display the Indigenization requirements of Defence Establishment in India including DPSU's, OFB and DRDO etc, Defence Technology Transfer opportunities and Capabilities of Defence Industries in Private Sector. Concurrent Seminars and workshops will also be organized on the issues related to State and Central Government's defence production policies, indigenization of Defense Supply, Vender Registration, Purchase preference for MSME in Defence Sector, Innovation for Defence Excellence, Defence Export Opportunities etc.Hon'ble Chief Minister U.P & Hon'ble Defence Minister , GOI have been invited to inaugurate the event. Hon'ble Chief Secretary U.P, Secretary, MOD GOI, Addl.
