ResponSEAble is 15 partner project funded by European Commission under its H2020 programme. The project's goal is to raise the awareness of European citizens on how - whoever they are - they affect, and benefit from, the ocean. A central principle of ResponSEAble is that there needs to be a better understanding of knowledge about the relationship between a a wide range of human activities and their effects on the oceans. To do this, the project focuses on six main challenges (o stories): Microplastics and cosmetics, Ballast Water and invasive alien species, Eutrophication and agriculture, Marine renewable energy, Sustainable fisheries, Coastal tourism. The underlying assumption of ResponSEAble is that investing in literacy will help change how Europeans view their relationshio with the ocean.
