The Michigan Headache & Neurological Institute (MHNI) located in Ann Arbor was founded in 1978 by Dr. Joel Saper and colleagues. It is the nation's first comprehensive head pain treatment center, providing both outpatient and hospital based advanced programming for headache and related disorders. MHNI is accredited by the Joint Commission. Its renowned hospital program treats the Institute's most severe cases, many of which are referred to MHNI from around the world.
