Our New Energy business focuses on the development and implementation of low-carbon energy value chain, to support the global decarbonisation and energy transition efforts. Keppel has an established track record of developing, owning and operating power plants. In Singapore, Keppel operates a 1300MW combine cycle gas turbine power plant and is developing Singapore’s first hydrogen ready power plant. Keppel also provides solutions that address key environmental issues, through its state-of-the-art waste-to-energy and water treatment plants. Keppel is also importing renewable hydropower via the Lao PDR-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore Power Integration Project. Keppel is the first to receive conditional approval from the Energy Market Authority of Singapore (EMA) for the long-term import and sales of low carbon electricity from Cambodia, and also received conditional approval from the EMA for the long-term import of solar power from Indonesia. Lastly, Keppel also offers Energy-as-a-Service in Asia, providing holistic energy management services in China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore, whereby customers can deploy efficient cooling systems, distributed/rooftop solar and EV charging.
