BIM-Medical Cannabis Ltd (BMC) was incorporated in Barbados in 2018 with the goal of facilitating the development of the medical cannabis industry nationally and regionally in the Caribbean. The Company has a formal affiliation with the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill establishing an active Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) to achieve this goal through a scientifically sound evidence-based approach to industry development. The principal services and activities of BMC and the PPP include: Keeping the Caribbean public aware of best practice and new developments in the medical cannabis industry globally; Developing and delivering educational and training courses and workshops for certification of medical cannabis industry practitioners in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean; Conducting laboratory and clinical research on medical cannabis and field research on medical cannabis cultivars; Providing Quality Assurance Services; Providing Consultancy Services for companies and individuals interested in entering the industry.
