Tarraco Arena Plaça (TAP) is one of the most innovative projects in southern Europe, a multi-purpose site located in a flagship building in Tarragona that has been renovated, remodeled and transformed into a unique facility available to the inhabitants of Tarragona and all domestic and foreign visitors. Located in the old Tarragona´s bullring, build in 1883 with modernist architecture, it kept its external while its inner side had been remake in a modern infrastructure with a metallic dome of 92 meters of diameter which has a retractile center of 40 meters. The arena has 55 meters diameter to conduct all kind of events and accommodate a large number of attendants. The total capacity is 10,800 people. The impressive central area, its large capacity, its acoustics and equipment make the TAP an ideal space to attract major national and International events to Tarragona such as the 2007 Tarragona Mediterranean Games were it will be a sports venue.
