J Levine Judaica located in Midtown Manhattan is the worlds oldest Judaica company now celebrating more than 120 years and B"H 5 generations. Our roots go back to Lithuania in 1890 and continued on the Lower East SIde of New York City in 1905 when Joseph Levine incorporated and developed J Levine into a mega Judaica book and Judaica store. His 3 sons Harold, Seymour and Melvin further developed the scope of the business when they moved J Levine from the original location at 73 Norfolk Street (off Delancey) to 58 Eldridge Street (off Hester St). When Danny Levine, 4th generation, joined in 1979, he modernized the Lower East side operation and then in 1986 moved J Levine Store to Midtown Manhattan at 5 West 30th street right off 5th avenue.
