Studio and Communications Manager at California Cloth Foundry Inc - , California, United States
California Cloth Foundry (CCF), was founded by Lydia Wendt in 2014. Wendt is a consummate apparel professional possessing an impressive list of work experience with leading labels including Tom Ford's Perry Ellis America, Calvin Klein, Jones New York and The North Face. After two decades in the fast paced fashion industry, she knew she had to positively change apparel from the inside out - regeneratively. This she did with California Cloth Foundry by reverse-engineering the American supply chain clean and reformulating it's ingredients and protocols for maximum people and climate beneficial impact. Today, California Cloth Foundry takes regenerative sustainable fashion to the next level with the intention to grow exponentially and in turn offset the fashion industry's toxic products and practices. This means that from farm to fashion each aspect of CCF's production has been labeled, barcoded, registered, inspected, and thoughtfully designed to meet the highest ecological and ethical standards. These ethos encompass not only environmentally sustainable and regenerative fibers, dyes and non-toxic processes, but focus on fair living wages and healthy working conditions from the agricultural workers on through to the mill and factory employees, as well as all sales, marketing and distribution teams. In addition, there are no toxins added during yarn and cloth production or garment manufacturing - This means no harmful chemicals are released into the air, or onto the skin of CCF's supply chain partners, their employees, or the consumer. This also means that California Cloth Foundry's Healthy Wardrobe®, made in Collaboration with Nature®, is compostable - made for repair, reuse/recycling or planting 🌱 .
