The Sistah Girls Book Club is for Black women and girls who enjoy reading books by Black authors. We use digital media and in-person experiences to bring authors and readers (Sistah Girls) together. Our book club comprises three components: in-person events, our editorial website, and our online book club. Behind the Pen is our signature in-person indie author signing that takes place in New York City. With over 300 readers in attendance at our last event and 20 Black independent authors, we strive to continue to create experiences that connect authors and readers. Our editorial site garners thousands of monthly readers and includes author interviews, book reviews, listicles, think pieces, and also houses our podcast. Finally, our online book club consists of thousands of Black women who enjoy reading books. We host monthly chats with authors, giveaways, and we are always shedding light on new Black authors.
