MESCO was set up in 1968 is registered both under The Indian Societies Registration Act, 1860, and The Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950.It is registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 1976, with the Home Ministry, Govt. of India by virtue of which it can accept donations from any part of the world and its donors are entitled to exemption under section 80 G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.Objectives:1. To promote education amongst the weaker sections of society primarily & others generally.2. To work for the social upliftment of the backward section of society.3.
