4CL is the network for education and sharing of best practicesto ensure sustainable, healthy and livable cities. The mission of the Contra Costa County Climate Leaders Program (4CL) is to help cities take action and reduce Green House Gas (GHG) emissions in Contra Costa County (CCC) . To facilitate regional action, we monitor activities, provide free resources and tools and a multimedia communications strategy that ensures best practices are shared and implemented. Joined by elected officials, paid staff, volunteer advocates and grassroots organizations, we are ALL climate leaders in CCC. A fiscally sponsored program of Generation Green (www.generationgreen.com) the Contra Costa County Climate Leaders (4CL) Program (www.cccclimateleaders.org) was formed in 2007. 4CL provides outreach tools & assistance to local government decision makers for sharing best practices to address climate change. Executive Director and founder Lynda Deschambault served as an elected official to the Town of Moraga (2004-2008), and held the position of Mayor in 2008.
