Thornybush consists of twelve Lodges; eleven of which are located in the Thornybush Private Nature Reserve and one in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve.Each lodge offers guests an authentic safari experience with morning and afternoon game drives, nature walks, bush dinners, restaurant-quality meals and so much more!Both Thornybush Private Nature Reserve – 14,500 hectares - and Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve – 49,481 hectares - border Kruger National Park and form part of the Greater Kruger National Park. This is a Big 5 area.The Greater Kruger National Park encompasses Kruger National Park and a selection of private reserves to the west of Kruger National Park. In total the entire area covers 20,000,000 hectares of unfenced, wild reserve with free movement of animals across this entire area.
