At Biking for a Better World, we see riding a bicycle as an empowering, enjoyable activity, understood universally and used throughout the entire world. We strive to transform the very act of pedaling into a force to make the world a better place.Biking for a Better World began with four friends who dreamed of biking from Alaska to Argentina. The idea grew into a monumental project and a school was built in Nicaragua as the riders rolled across countries and continents---15,000+ miles in eight months, unsupported---from the beginning of the road to the end. It was through this 2007 endeavor that our charity was born.
