Since 1996, Keshet has been inspiring and uniting community by fostering unlimited possibilities through dance, mentorship and a creative space for the arts. Keshet Center for the Arts, located in Midtown Albuquerque, New Mexico is a performing arts venue and home to Keshet Dance Company, KLab and Keshet Ideas and Innovation Center (KIIC) Keshet Dance Company has been creating and performing innovative, experimental and inspiring dance works for nineteen years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It has received both local and national recognition for choreography and artistic programming. The Repertory Company is comprised of a core group of salaried dancers, complemented by contracted local and visiting artists as determined by project. Generally, projects and repertory works include 5-12 company dancers. Whether developing productions based on the impact of the Holocaust on American Jews, the images and texts of poet Pablo Neruda, or a modern interpretation of the traditional Nutcracker, Keshet's repertory engages audiences young and old, opening minds and changing perceptions of what dance and a dancer can be. KLab (Keshet Kinesthetic Education Laboratory) offers community dance classes for students of all ages and abilities (Including Adaptive Dance programming), and a pre-professional dance program. KIIC (Keshet Ideas and Innovation Center) is a business resource center for arts entrepreneurs. KIIC supports and strengthens arts entrepreneurs on their path to sustainability by championing the value of the artist and the arts economy.
