For more than 48 years, CINI has been working in Assam, Orissa, West Bengal and Jharkhand, covering around 7 million people. Our mission is sustainable development in health, nutrition, education and protection of child, adolescent and woman in need.Some of our major partners are IIMPACT, Anand Paul Foundation, Tata Trust, HCL Foundation, EXIDE, ITC, CESC, TIL, TM Internationals. We closely work with both the state and central government. One of our innovations the Nutrition Rehabilitation Center, has now been adopted by the West Bengal State Government and thus replicated in many government hospitals. Also during 2003, CINI had introduced the Child Tracking system in the schools of Kolkata in collaboration with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan of Kolkata. CINI has a long history of being associated with National Child Labour Programme and implementing the same in Kolkata, Murshidabad and Jalpaiguri. Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Jharkhand recognized CINI as nodal agency to strengthen the community mobilization cell under NHM, Govt of Jharkhand. CINI was appreciated for its support to Department of Social welfare and Women and Child Development, Government of Jharkhand, in piloting social audit to strengthen the services under ICDS. We are accredited by the Credibility Alliance. Our Guidestar India Gold Number is GSN337. We are the recipient of National Award for Child Welfare, Government of India, in 1985 and 2004.
