Access to our life-saving health care and education services has transformed the way people live, work, and love.Planned Parenthood Northern California is one of the most progressive and innovative Planned Parenthood affiliates in the United States. We began offering high-quality services in 1929, and our service area has grown steadily since then to include urban and rural counties from San Francisco to the Oregon border. As early as the 1970s, we developed groundbreaking educational programming such as parent/child sex education workshops. In the 1980s we were the first affiliate in the nation to provide HIV testing and counseling. Today, we continue to lead with cutting-edge research, gender-affirming hormone therapy, infertility services, PrEP for men and women, and mobile apps for birth control. Our doors are open to patients of any income, gender, immigration, or insurance status. Our service area covers 20 counties across Northern California and comprises 19 health care delivery sites.
